The Summit’s theme of “Sheer Silence,” focused on hearing God’s still, small voice as described in 1 Kings 19:11–12. “The Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” |
With time set aside for “sunrise encounters” and a “lunch with God,” attendees had opportunities for reflection and communion with God. |

“Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all” (I Chronicles 29:10–11). |
